We wanted a hotel that was close to the attractions and amenities, and were not disappointed with the Megaboom. Within easy walking distance of trains and ferries. and right next door to an excellent eating establishment in the York Club. Our King room was not large but accommodated a king size, very comfortable, bed, a table and two chairs. The bathroom had a great shower, which we used at length after our long daily walks. Despite being on busy York Street, the excellent soundproofing meant that you couldn't hear the traffic at any time.

Clean convenient and well priced the rooms range from extra small to small. It's a clean bed, toilet and shower combo. You won't get views but being on York Street it's close to everything including major public transport and key locations in Sydney. They have luggage storage before and after check out great for travelers who arrive early or need to leave late. The staff are always extremely nice and if you get a room away from the main road you'll not hear a peep from anyone. I'd recommend a king room for spacious area. I stay regularly when i go out into the city for a night out.

Very friendly staff. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Excellent location Gearge Street was one street over and Darling Harbour just a short easy walk. Restaurant was next door and a fabulous Coles just across the street. Definitely stay again

The room was very small. The bathroom was tiny. The beds were soft. No drawers. The place was obviously old and not refurbished When we arrived, the only person to help us with our luggage. And that was after we entered the building, and found only an elevator, no reception area and no receptionist. We had to guess that taking the elevator to the first floor would reward us by finding a reception area, and a receptionist. She was very helpful but there was no luggage trolley. Overall it came across as more like a hostel than a hotel

This place gets top marks for location . The room was very small but the bed was comfortable . The bathroom needs renovating but was adequate ( just). Able to leave our luggage there after checkout. Ok for one or two nights.
